  • About The Company

Based in Lititz, PA, Precision Cobotics is a lean integrator providing robotic automation solutions.  Most often our systems are purchased to allow manufactures to scale their production to meet increasing demand or to implement inspection solutions to improve product quality.  Example applications include machine tending and AI driven part inspection.

We believe in creating accessible automation that allows customers of all experience levels to succeed with automation.  Our role is ensuring the solutions are designed so the customer can take ownership of systems and facilitating training for the customer when needed to make that possible.

Within the Lancaster area, we believe in giving back by investing in the next generation by being involved in educational programs in our area high school and college communities.  By opening the eyes of our future workforce to automation and manufacturing careers, we will create a strong workforce and stable economy.

    Opportunity Overview

    Automation Engineering Internship

The Automation Engineering Intern position is for 11th and 12th grade high school STEM students (17+ years) looking to take their education outside of the classroom and gain real world experience with automation and robotics technologies.

The high school interns will be on teams with other high school interns that are led by college engineering students. They will be working to solve real world manufacturing problems.

Students will be working to develop proof of concepts for manufacturing companies. This experience would include designing/creating fixturing for the robot to hold parts, coding programs using the robot to simulate the process, and determine if the robot could meet cycle time requirements. In addition to the technical aspects of projects, the team will review financial considerations including return on investment, costs vs. benefits, and/or break-even analysis.

Students will gain valuable experience in:

    • Robotics
    • Manufacturing
    • Drafting/CAD
    • Coding/Programming
    • Problem Solving
    • Teamwork

To succeed in this program student should be a self-starter and have the motivation to learn about and invest time in these technologies on their own time. It would be beneficial but not necessary for a student to have background in CAD, programming, manufacturing, electronics, and mechanical systems.

The internship has flexible hours in order to meet the availability of the students involved. We expect the internships to be around 6 hours a week.

The internship will last from September 2024 to December 2024. (Internships are limited)
