    Stoltzfus Meats makes and sells fine, fresh, home-style foods.* Our production facility is located just outside of Intercourse, PA. Here we trim, cut, grind, slice, stuff, cure, smoke, and package our various fresh and smoked meat products.* Our store and deli in Intercourse, PA offers a wide selection of fresh and smoked meats along with baked goods from our bakery. At the same location, Amos’s Place restaurant serves breakfast and lunch from 6 am – 6 pm on weekdays and 6 am – 5 pm on Saturdays.* Our New Castle, DE location includes 5 stands at New Castle Farmer’s Market: fresh and smoked meats & cheese, fresh poultry, deli salads, bakery, and fresh-squeezed juice.     Opportunity Overview

    Salary & Status:
    * $12.00 – $14.00 per hour
    * Part Time, flexible schedule
    * Shifts available primarily on Saturdays, possibly Thursdays and Fridays
    * Work location is New Castle, DE, with company provided transportation meeting in Intercourse, PA

    Qualifications:
    *As of 12/8/2023 – Currently hiring ages 16+
    *Energetic, friendly personality
    *Service-oriented
    *Experience in retail, and/or market is a plus
    *Reliable transportation
    *Ability to stand, walking, bend, and lift for majority of shift
    *Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana)

     

    Responsibilities:
    *Serving customers at the five market stands (meat, poultry, deli salads, bakery, and juice); potential cross training in multiple stands to assist wherever needed
    *Interact with customers to receive their orders, answer questions, and provide recommendations
    *Pull product from the case, weigh or portion according to customer’s order, package product
    *Use a cash register, mental math, receive payments, handle cash, make change, and use credit/debit card equipment to complete customer purchase
    *Stocking product into showcases
    *Assisting with food production if needed (cutting, mixing, wrapping, labeling, etc)
    *Keeping the showcase, counters, workspaces, and floors clean
    *Following safety guidelines for food handling, hygiene, and equipment
    *Other duties as assigned

     

    Scheduling & Benefits:
    *Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday hours available (Market is open on Thursdays from 9 am – 3 pm, and Fridays-Saturdays from 9 am – 8 pm)
    *Saturday availability/flexibility is required
    *Priority hiring consideration given to applicants who are available to work a closing shift on Fridays, Saturdays, or both days
    * Company provided transportation available from Intercourse, PA
