About Us: Founded in 1935 and now operated by the fourth generation of the Goodhart family, Goodhart Sons, Inc. is a family-owned business specializing in steel fabrication and field services for various industries, including manufacturing, food and beverage, consumer goods, and more. With a commitment to quality and innovation, our team is dedicated to supporting customers across the United States through custom fabrication and precision installation services.

What to Expect on a Goodhart Sons Tour: Our tours are designed for students and school groups interested in exploring careers in fabrication, installation, and manufacturing. During the tour, students will:

  • Get a close-up look at our fabrication shop, seeing firsthand some of the products fabricate and the equipment we use to do so.
  • Meet and talk to current employees who are passionate about their work in welding, fabrication, project management, and other key roles.
  • Learn about the diverse career paths available at Goodhart Sons and the skills that are most valuable in this industry.
  • Experience virtual welding through a hands-on session with our Miller MobileArc virtual welder, guided by one of our team members.

Time Commitment: Our tours typically last around 60 to 90 minutes. They provide an interactive experience that showcases the variety and excitement of a career in the trades.

AFP Industry Tours

AFP is available to host tours for school groups from middle school age up.

Hiring Needs

Keystone Wood Specialties is currently seeking individuals to join our production team. Types of positions that become available include;  Door Assembly and Machine Operation, Drawer Box Assembly, Finishing and Sanding and Rough Mill positions which include rip saw, table saw and moulder operators.

For some of these positions, the ability to accurately read a tape measure and knowledge of different wood species is required.  Keystone Wood Specialties is willing to train individuals who have an interest in the woodworking/cabinetry industry and wish to join out team.  Must have an eye for detail to ensure we provide our customers with quality products. Must be able to read customer orders and diagrams with accuracy.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Individuals must be 18 years of age to operate equipment.
